Warehouse staff tend to create procedures in their facility without learning from others. Every warehouse in the US has a different slot numbering scheme, putaway and pick up procedures. Why? Because they have not visited other warehouses. In the end, this process of inventing every procedure costs money and time.
They should read this book and get a 20-year jump. Still there are no formal education for operating a warehouse. We usually hire a new staff and make that person learn all the bad habbits from the staff already in the facility.
Instead, buy this book and start learning the ‘good’ habbits.

Mr. Liebeskind has put together a good and brief manual to improve warehouse operations. Overall, this book would be very helpful to those that have not done much, if anything to optimize their warehouse. His 150 ideas are sound, but occasionally lack detail, specifically when a choice can be made on how to set something up…all he suggests is that you study it and offers little guidance on how to do it. Another issue is that a number of the 150 ways are the same ideas but worded differently, but I guess “150 Ways” sounds better than “108 Ways”.
If you are looking for a concise guide to improve your warehouse operation, then this manual is a great place to start. For those that have comprehensive (location/slotting planning and execution enabled) warehouse systems (that are configured and used), then this may be a bit basic, but you still may find a few ideas that could help you.

Mr. Liebeskind once again demonstrates his unique ability to condense much of his vast knowledge of a the complexities of warehouse operations into a very reader friendly book.
As with his other writings, there is no fluff. He gets right to the nitty gritty and nuts and bolts of DC operations. Seasoned professionals and those new to the business can learn much from the book.
Mega-DC or 2 person mini-warehouse can benefit from the wisdom provided by a pragmatic writer who understands warehousing from both the practical and theoretical side.
This is one to keep on the desk at all times!
